The Highcrest Academy

Our School Fundraising Project 2026-2027

At The Highcrest Academy, we are proud of our tradition of supporting local charities through student-led fundraising activities. In recent years, our school community has raised thousands of pounds for a range of worthy causes, most recently supporting Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity where an impressive £2993 was raised.

This year, following consultation with students, we have taken a different approach. Rather than selecting a charity partner for 2026-27, students have chosen to direct their fundraising efforts towards the purchase of a second school minibus.

The Highcrest Academy offers a wide range of extracurricular clubs, educational visits, sporting fixtures and enrichment opportunities that support students' personal development beyond the classroom. A second minibus will increase our capacity to transport students to these activities, enabling more young people to participate and ensuring that we can continue to expand our enrichment programme.

By investing in a resource that will benefit both current and future students, our fundraising efforts this year will have a lasting impact on the opportunities available across the school community.

We would like to thank all the charities we have supported in previous years and look forward to working together as a school community to achieve this exciting goal.

Mrs S Charlesworth, Assistant Headteacher
